More great news from the 10X Hub in South Africa and the Grant Cardone Foundation. We are excited to announce the third 10X Pitch-Off winner, Tyron Kyle Adams!
The third recipient of the $35.000 seed money, 29 year-old Tyron Kyle Adams, has combined his love of food and music when he co-founded
Kumin & Khords.
Tyron says he named the company this way because cumin is his favorite spice and “khords” refers to the musical aspect of his business. He changed the words’ normal spellings with Ks to honor the names of his two young children.
The story behind Tyron Kyle Adams’ Kumin & Khords
Tyron was born and raised in Wellington in the Boland region of Western Cape, South Africa. For his formal education, he studied Hospitality at Boland College, then Music Production at Boston.
He worked at several establishments in the hospitality industry before COVID. But when that industry took massive financial hits during the pandemic, he decided to strike out on his own.
In short, he was motivated to
work harder.
Kumin & Khords is an all-in-one restaurant, catering, and entertainment service. Tyron himself is a DJ.
After getting involved with the 10X Hub, his business has grown by
752%. He attributes this to planning, budgeting, and delegating skills.
It all comes down to being disciplined… Go for it, just do it! Do not let fear hold you back. You obtain much more knowledge and gain experience by joining the Hub.

Another great thing he wants to do with his business is to hire at-risk youth. His community has suffered a rash of gang violence in the past few years; stabbings, in particular. Some of the awarded money will go towards that staffing and a new facility.
We are so excited to see what he does next. Check back here for us to announce our final winner and more 10X Hub updates.
